Lindy Hop Courses at Loudwater, Bucks
Regular Tuesday evening Lindy Hop Courses are held throughout the year, in January, March, June and September. The next course begins on Tuesday 17th June 2008 and costs £60 per person for the 10 weeks course.
Each course is normally 9 or 10 weeks long and at 3 levels, Beginner, Improver and Intermediate. The final week of each course is an end-of-course dance which is also free to visitors and dancers not taking the course.
The Beginner level is at 8:30 and covers basic 6 and 8 count steps. 2 courses (A & B, each with a different syllabus) should be completed before moving on to Improver level. Beginners are encouraged to stay after the class for the practice dancing.
The Improver level at 7:30 covers a wide range of mainly 8 count steps with some variations on 6 count. Dancers can stay at Improver level for many courses, learning new steps, variations and refreshing the basics.
Intermediate level is by audition only and starts at 9:35 after the practice dancing.
The fee covers the whole evening, participants in the Improver and Intermediate levels are encouraged to take the other levels at no extra cost.
The licensed bar is open during the whole of the evening.
